The results are in about spousal secret shopping . . .

According to an online survey taken to understand how many people hide purchases from their significant other, we all have a few white lies. These results may startle you.

The survey revealed 80 % of the participants blatantly admitting to hiding purchases for their spouse or partner. With 4% claiming their partner left them after discovering their secret spending.

The results varied drastically between the sexes.

Who was fairer?

When it came to women 76% of their secret shopping was on shoes clothes, 11% want for the bling, bling jewelry, and 4% wanted new purses, and an incredible 4% of women fessed up to purchasing a personal naughty toy, with perfume coming in last at 3%.

Then 2% secretly said they splurged on apartments or cars when their husband wasn’t around.

Moving over to the men.

41% blatantly confessed to grabbing the latest in technology. They went out to places like best buy and circuit city when the ladies weren’t looking (grabbing TVs, play stations, home entertainment centers – how do you watch TV secretly?)

Moving on, 19% bought new clothes, 16% wanted to have fun, raiding the sporting goods store, 9% shamelessly admitting to buying girls magazines and movies.

But did the confess in the end?

I guess as it turned out it wasn’t such a big deal making a purchase without their partner knowing – But I wouldn’t recommend it.

Here are the results . . . 62% only had a mild reaction becoming a bit annoyed – while 22% laughed it off.

Only 2% said their partner flew off the handle with rage.

10% reported their partner was not surprised and accepted every as ok.

But the ugly truth comes out with 4% claiming they partners had enough and decided to leave after they owned up to their undercover purchasing.
