Divers have often referred to Belize as one of the seven underwater wonders of the world because of the country’s location to the world’s second largest Barrier Reef.

An especially unspoiled and unmatched diving spot is in Placencia, where The Inn at Robert’s Grove and its Dive Center are located.

As the Barrier Reef’s edge comes along the southern coast of Belize, it begins to separate itself further from the mainland, thus resulting in a large area of coral reef with channels that go down 90 to 110 feet in the inner reef, then rising abruptly into shoals and cayes.

The Outer Reef is home to some of the most spectacular walls that start from around 40 feet and drop off to approximately 3000 feet. With at the least 20 named Belize Diving sites in the southern waters, untouched coral and abundant fish life abound for underwater adventure guests of the Inn at Robert’s Grove.

The Inn at Robert’s Grove, having a total of 52 rooms, was awarded “Hotel of the Year 2008″ by the Tourist Board. Risa and Robert Frackman, New York natives, own Roberts Grove and strive for the best hospitality, food and ease of travel.

More features include Southern Belize’s top PADI dive operation, two restaurants, two private islands, marina, fly-fishing center, internet center and Sea Spa. Activities include playing tennis, working out in the gym, kayaking, windsurfing, canoeing, hobie cats, sail-boating, bicycling and swimming in three 50-foot swimming pools or taking a bath in the rooftop Jacuzzis.

trips to the Barrier Reef, Mayan Ruins, Cockscomb Jaguar preserve and Monkey River are setup by in-house tour operation.
