Jan 24, 2010 @ 03:02 pm by articles

Industrial sites and employers accepting users who have passed the National Safety Passport e-learning program have now received more assertion that their people have the information and expertise to act in a safe manner in a risk rich environment.

The National Safety Passport e-learning program by Cognition Media has gained accreditation from Teesside University. Users have qualified from the National Safety Passport will now not only benefit from their nationally recognised EMSS (Essential Minimum Safety Standard) Safety Passport card but will also be eligible for University points to count towards a University Certificate in Professional Development (UCPD) or another university qualification.

This development shows the National Safety Passport’s position as an academic as well as a professional qualification further more quanifying the high quality instruction in industrial health and safety that is delivered.

The program is totally transportable facilitating trainees to do it as and when around their other duties. No more need for days away from the job, travelling or overnight costs; a no brainer in today’s economic climate.

The huge cost savings to the industry make the National Safety Passport a popular alternative to more traditional classroom based passport schemes and recognition from both EMSS and now Teesside University further prove the high quality of training that accompanies the cost savings.

At the low price of £69.99 (ex VAT) the computer based training program includes the nationally recognised EMSS Safety Passport card which can be validated online for authenticity. This will surpass employer’s compulsory need to deliver safety, health and environment (SHE) training at a fraction of the costs associated with currently established classroom based schemes.

The course has been proven to hold the attention of the candidate and improve knowledge retention while making the learning a more enjoyable experience. Reviews from both candidates and management has been completely positive.

Subtly Coolest: Buying Bedding Crib Sets Without Defacing Your Brains

Jan 24, 2010 @ 02:54 pm by articles

Crib sets is the major element in an infant’s bedroom, and is almost invariably the initial step in decorating a new space for an eagerly awaited little boy. Making sure you have selected safe bedding should be your first step before moving on to color schemes.

Importantly, you should not buy layered blankets or other bedding, despite their adorable and comfy appearance. Bedding which is too soft, or over filled, may pose a danger of suffocation to very young babies. Knowledgeable shoppers know that they should look for quality fabrics and hypoallergenic fillers when searching for bedding.

Baby boy bedding needs to be bought in standard sizes to ensure that it fits tightly and exactly on the mattress. Parents who care about their newborn son’s safety must ensure that fitted sheets should adhere to these measurements in order to prevent their child from getting entrapped in sheets that come off from the moorings.

When you purchase several crib sets the anxiety associated with baby bedding safety is truly diminished. Linens, oriented for babies, are very affordable but generally considered very safe. A stunning selection of crib sheets is available for boys in a variety of colors and themes.

Simple crib bedding has come to refer generally to the nursery linen ensembles that have become so popular of late. For convenience as well as economy, even the smaller crib sets include standard fitting crib sheets, a matching comforter, a crib bumper and a dust ruffle.

Especially for parents on a tight budget, larger and more complete decorative boys bedding sets are a viable choice for decorating the entire nursery with matched accessories. Extras in these amazing groupings can include diaper stackers and matching window coverings. Your beloved son will love the charming and distinctly masculine space thanks to a “nursery in a bag.”

Ionkids Locator System, Child Monitoring System Review

Jan 24, 2010 @ 02:50 pm by articles

Ionkids Child Locator.

The Ionkids child locator system enables guardians and parents alike to locate children and others with ease, as the manufacturer says “to keep an Ion what’s important”.  I have read many other reviews and all seem to be completely satisfied with their purchase.

The Ionkids child monitoring system starter kit includes all you’ll need to track one child. The base unit includes a charger, bracelet with key, instruction booklet and a year’s warranty. You can track up to 4 children at once with the addition of other bracelets for about $50 each. Setup and learning is easy, if you can operate a cell phone you can operate this system.

You’ll want to charge the system overnight after you get it to make sure all batteries have a full charge. Next place the bracelet on your child; usually they are excited to wear the bracelet just like daddy’s watch. The bracelet is adjustable and locks on with a key and is very water resistant.  An alarm sounds if the device is tampered with after you activate it i.e. your child slips it off or it is too loose and doesn’t touch the skin. The device alerts you if this happens so make sure to get it on tight enough to overcome false alarms.

The bracelet is really like a watch and comes with a bunch of stickers that are colorful for the kids to decorate, usually their favorite thing to do. It comes with rechargeable batteries as does the base unit and I recommend charging both right along with your cell phone every night. The charger lets you plug in everything you need even if you have multiple units.

The range is 350 feet and if it’s triggered you’ll know it!  The monitor emits high decibel beeps and flashes red when the bracelet goes out of range.  The monitor prompts you to push the “Find” button to locate your child by directional signal pointing right to them. In addition the bracelet also beeps and flashes to draw your child’s attention that they need to stop, nice feature.

I hope this information is helpful to you in making a choice of Child Alert Systems. I invite you to go to Rusway Security Systems the Brickhouse resource center and learn more.
