What To Do If Your Dog Is Afraid Of You Leaving

Once you’ve been ‘parents’ to cats and dogs, you come to realize that, much like children, they all have their unique personalities and quirks. But another thing that they have in common is their susceptibility to separation anxiety and anxiety attacks. This is especially true with young puppies who may begin to whine as you leave for work on Monday after a weekend of being with them.

Treating animal anxiety disorders panic attacks

But usually, even though it may cause you to feel guilty about leaving your puppy at home alone, eventually after a few weeks he’ll come to realize that your absence is only temporary – and may even become bored as you leave every morning for work.

A few puppy owners may attempt to sneak out thinking that if their dog doesn’t see them leave, it’ll cause them less concern. But when the puppy eventually begins to look for you, which he will, and can’t find you – he may be driven to a state of panic far greater than if you had simply patted him on the head and let him see you leave.

When older dogs experience separation anxiety, it may be indicative of a greater problem. This is especially true if you’re the second owner for the dog and he has something in his past that has traumatized him. Possibly a previous owner left him alone in a home for a while and didn’t come back for days – leaving the puppy to fend for himself. But whatever the cause, if your puppy has a separation anxiety this severe – it will undoubtedly take a bit longer for him to trust that you will return when you leave.

Fold’N'Stow vs LEVO Book Stand Designs

Dec 11, 2009 @ 02:47 pm by articles

A book stand is a great gift idea for any true book lover. Currently marketed designs vary from straight forward wire devices such as the Fold’N'Stow that supports a book at adjustable angles on just about any flat surface, to the ultimately sophisticated LEVO Bookholder that retains your book in either a floor standing design or a clamp-on design that easily clamps to just about any table, desk, or counter top. Most book stand models function well with hardcovers, but most also can work quite well with paperback books held by book holders such as an OpenPage.

The Fold’N'Stow is one of the most affordable of book stands. It folds flat for easy storage and transport and is sold with it’s own convenient pouch designed for easy use in a three ring binder. It may be positioned on a countertop for cookbooks, or atop a desk, table, workstation, bench, etc. Wire arms with page holders extend out from the back to secure the covers and open pages of your book, and, by moving the arms either closer together or farther apart, smaller and larger books may be easily accommodated. The back of the stand has horizontal pieces that can be moved to adjust the angle at which the book is held relative the substrate.

The LEVO’s most popular book stand is the LEVO floor standing model, which includes a weighted rolling base for ease of movement just about anywhere. Wherever you position it, it can support in just about any position you can imagine. Incorporating a bookboard which adjusts in any plane, and coupled with a book mounting system that will secure your book, even in an inverted position, the LEVO allows for totally hand-free reading from just about any position.

The LEVO Desk model is just as handy as its floor standing sibling, but features a clamp that safely attaches to any desk, table, counter top, work bench or other flat surface up to two inches thick, and offers identical movements as the floor model, without the range of telescoping movements vertically. By supporting your book up off the surface to which it is attached, the desk design saves the weight and expense of the weighted rolling base while freeing up work space, since neither your book nor your book holder rest on the working surface.

Even though there are other book stand designs available, the Fold’N'Stow and LEVO designs have withstood the test of time and stand up well to long term use.

In fact, a quick search online presents numerous sites that will help assist you in your search for public marriage records.

Another important thing to note, is that the marriage may have occurred outside of Florida and therefore would not be in the results of Florida Marriage records. This is another reason for the power of the internet search. Instead of travelling from state to state seeking the marriage records, it can all be done from the comfort of your own home. In a few moments you can check through all the states to see if any public marriage records exist in all of the United States. This can be especially helpful for those who know that the person they are preforming the search on has lived in multiple states.

There are basically two versions of online marriage record searches: free-of-charge and fee-based. The former is usually offered in the form of teaser information or as enticement toward an underlying patronage or subscription. Their overall standards will fulfill nothing more than broad research. The latter is the one that’s necessary for official and other serious purposes and even so, finding the right commercial record provider can be tricky. Fortunately, online shopping is no-sweat so source around a little before signing up.
